I was bitten by the running bug at a very young age. I got used to see my father running the streets surrounding the small Danish town where I grew up. At the age of 8 I was running the same roads and a year later I debuted in the world’s oldest casual race, Eremitageløbet in the beautiful Dyrehaven north of Copenhagen. The race is just on the good side of 13 kilometers. One should be 10 years of age to enter, but we lied a little and I ran it at the age of 9.
